Specialisation in nutrition, enzymology and clinical.
Mrs. Farzana Panhwar got master degree from Karachi University in Bio-chmeistry in 1981. She has worked on soil chemistry, macro and micro nutrients, composts, organic fertilisers, and growth regulators as applied to fruit crops and post-harvest technology of sub-tropical furits. She has also published a number of articles on animal, poultry and prawn/shrimp feed, raising of shrimp and rabbits, plants of desert areas of Sindh, bio-gas form agricultural waste and genetic property.

Her articles are already published in USA, U.K., Canada, Australia, South Africa, Norway, Denmark, Finland New Zealand, Germany, Italy, turkey, Greece, China, Taiwan, France, Netherlands and India. She also got 1997 Award “Rural Creativity Award” form Switzerland and 1998 Award “Gold Medal of Honour” from USA.
She is also a co-author with M.H. Panhwar for books on lychee, longan, grape fruit, guava, grapes, low chill apple and peach, fig and pomegranate. Her research work is continuing.
Experience:

Prawn farming and prawn feed. The work was given up as coastal water turned too saline for prawn farming, Private Sector, 1982-1988.

Poultry and cattle feed. Work was abandoned in 1985, as benefit : cost ratio of stall feed animal was low as compared to other methods in agriculture for example growing furit crops, Private Sector, 1983.

Rabbit farming. Though the rabbit farming was highly economical as compared to poultry, but market was limited and needed costly promotion all over Pakistan, Private Sector, 1984.

Bio-gas from agriculture wastes. About 200 plants were installed in Sindh by M/s. Lossavers, buty work was given up as the technology needed sophisticated monitoring and owners were not interested in spending extra on maintenance, M/s. Lossavers, Hyderabad, 1984.

Report on bio-gas plants installed by Energy Cell, Government of Pakistan from 1982-1988, for Planning Department, Government of Sindh.

Drying of roses and flowers. This was done in GI-sheet, house painted black on top and sides to absorb solar heat and at night time it was heated by a furnace run on agricultural wastes. The project was abandoned in 1989, when export prices came down to 40%, Private Sector, 1985-1989.

Re-mineralisation of agricultural soils by various methods to enhance microbial activity with use of mulch. This doubled the yield of fruit crops within 4 years i.e., in 1989, Institute of Organic and Sustainable Horticulture and Agriculture Research (IOSHAR), Hyderabad, 1985-2003.

Manufacture of micro-nutrients for folliar and soil applications. From basic compounds for direct use on the farm. The yield in 1994 became three time that of even of most progressive growers of Pakistan, IOSHAR, 1986-2003.

She has also published a number of articles on animal, poultry and prawn/shrimp feed, raising of shrimp and rabbits, plants of desert areas of Sindh, bio-gas form agricultural waste and genetic property.

Prawn farming and prawn feed. The work was given up as coastal water turned too saline for prawn farming, Private Sector, 1982-1988.

Poultry and cattle feed. Work was abandoned in 1985, as benefit : cost ratio of stall feed animal was low as compared to other methods in agriculture for example growing furit crops, Private Sector, 1983.

Rabbit farming. Though the rabbit farming was highly economical as compared to poultry, but market was limited and needed costly promotion all over Pakistan, Private Sector, 1984.

Bio-gas from agriculture wastes. About 200 plants were installed in Sindh by M/s. Lossavers, buty work was given up as the technology needed sophisticated monitoring and owners were not interested in spending extra on maintenance, M/s. Lossavers, Hyderabad, 1984.

Report on bio-gas plants installed by Energy Cell, Government of Pakistan from 1982-1988, for Planning Department, Government of Sindh.

Drying of roses and flowers. This was done in GI-sheet, house painted black on top and sides to absorb solar heat and at night time it was heated by a furnace run on agricultural wastes. The project was abandoned in 1989, when export prices came down to 40%, Private Sector, 1985-1989.

Re-mineralisation of agricultural soils by various methods to enhance microbial activity with use of mulch. This doubled the yield of fruit crops within 4 years i.e., in 1989, Institute of Organic and Sustainable Horticulture and Agriculture Research (IOSHAR), Hyderabad, 1985-2003.

Mrs. Farzana Panhwar got master degree from Karachi University in Bio-chmeistry in 1981. She has worked on soil chemistry, macro and micro nutrients, composts, organic fertilisers, and growth regulators as applied to fruit crops and post-harvest technology of sub-tropical furits. She has also published a number of articles on animal, poultry and prawn/shrimp feed, raising of shrimp and rabbits, plants of desert areas of Sindh, bio-gas form agricultural waste and genetic property.

She is also a co-author with M.H. Panhwar for books on lychee, longan, grape fruit, guava, grapes, low chill apple and peach, fig and pomegranate. Her research work is continuing.

Prawn farming and prawn feed. The work was given up as coastal water turned too saline for prawn farming, Private Sector, 1982-1988.

Poultry and cattle feed. Work was abandoned in 1985, as benefit : cost ratio of stall feed animal was low as compared to other methods in agriculture for example growing furit crops, Private Sector, 1983.

Rabbit farming. Though the rabbit farming was highly economical as compared to poultry, but market was limited and needed costly promotion all over Pakistan, Private Sector, 1984.

Bio-gas from agriculture wastes. About 200 plants were installed in Sindh by M/s. Lossavers, buty work was given up as the technology needed sophisticated monitoring and owners were not interested in spending extra on maintenance, M/s. Lossavers, Hyderabad, 1984.

Report on bio-gas plants installed by Energy Cell, Government of Pakistan from 1982-1988, for Planning Department, Government of Sindh.

Drying of roses and flowers. This was done in GI-sheet, house painted black on top and sides to absorb solar heat and at night time it was heated by a furnace run on agricultural wastes. The project was abandoned in 1989, when export prices came down to 40%, Private Sector, 1985-1989.

Re-mineralisation of agricultural soils by various methods to enhance microbial activity with use of mulch. This doubled the yield of fruit crops within 4 years i.e., in 1989, Institute of Organic and Sustainable Horticulture and Agriculture Research (IOSHAR), Hyderabad, 1985-2003.

Manufacture of micro-nutrients for folliar and soil applications. From basic compounds for direct use on the farm. The yield in 1994 became three time that of even of most progressive growers of Pakistan, IOSHAR, 1986-2003.
