SCIENCE OF WATER AND HOW IT AFFECTS OUR LIVES.
Abstract
Water is the basic ingredient of life. the scientific studies show that the impact of climatic change like green house gasses effect and global warming, bring direct or indirect effect on fresh water availability. Which change and disturb the eco-system. For example 1°C increase in temperature, results into increase in the rate of respiration of plants by 10-30%, which affects photo-synthesis and stimulates to release carbon dioxide and methane gas. This adds to green house effect. This affects precipitation, water-vapours, wind, radiation to field, soil structure, soil nutrients, soil erosion, pests and diseases. This phenomenon results into shift in the cropping patterns, fauna and flora, cycle of insect and disease infestations, flooding and results into socio-political disturbance, warfare, administrative difficulties, migrations and political changes the ruling elite.
Conclusion
Since the Global warming has already shown its effects, the availability of fresh water reduces tremendously vis-à-vis population of the world which increased many folds. In future we have to use all the techniques to conserve fresh water and make it sustainable for use of future generations.
